Observation of the curative effect of decompression of peripheral nerve for greater occipital neuralgia

Abstract


Objective To investigate the efficacy of decompression of peripheral nerve for greater occipital neuralgia. Methods A total of 62 patients with greater occipital neuralgia were given greater occipital nerve decompression under local anesthesia, and were followed up 6-12 months later. Results There were 54 cases cured, 5 cases effective, 2 cases ineffective, and 1 case lost during the follow-up period. Conclusion The decompression of peripheral nerve is a safe and effective method for greater occipital neuralgia.
